A Reconnection: Why I’m Returning to Writing

ree

It feels good to be here again. Writing has always been my first love, long before social media became what it is today. Over the years, I’ve created reels, stories, YouTube videos, and all the content you can imagine, but something about writing feels different. It gives me space to slow down, to process, and to share my lived experiences in real time without the pressure of constant posting.

That’s why I’m bringing these monthly blogs back. Think of this as a safe check-in. A space where I can share the ins and outs of my authentic journey, and where you can hopefully take away something meaningful for your own.

Since I last connected with you here, my brand has shifted in ways that feel more aligned with where I am now. I’ve moved away from offering strictly spiritual services and leaned deeper into the umbrella of holistic wellness. Of course, spiritual wellness will always be one part of the whole, but I feel called to create tools and experiences that help nurture all areas of wellness. You will see a lot of new things from me in the next year and my blog is going to be where to find it all firsthand!

Part of that shift has also been about allowing myself to be seen. For a long time, talking about what I do was a challenge. I used to worry about how I would be perceived. But these days, I’m less concerned with the perfect social media post and more focused on putting my feet on the ground, showing up for my community, and asking: What do people need? How can I create that in ways that are simple and accessible?

And honestly, my community,  all of you, are what keep me motivated. Every candle buyer, every client, every supporter who has trusted me with even a small part of their wellness journey has shown me that people want tools to improve their quality of life. I believe we’d all take better care of ourselves and one another if we had more access to skills, support, and practices that help us live better. That’s the heart of what I want to share here.

What excites me most right now is the clarity of purpose that has been emerging in my business. There are so many things I want to do, and at times it’s overwhelming to figure out where to start. But slowly, things are becoming clearer, and I’m trusting that process.

All Things B.Simply (and B.Simply Centered stay tuned ;)) reflects exactly where I am in life: always evolving, always aligning closer to my values. I’m not afraid to make changes if something no longer feels authentic, and I carry the same lesson into my personal life.

The values guiding me are simple but powerful: hard work, intention, and love. Anything worth having requires care and attention. My business is no different. It’s something I invest in not just with time, but with heart.

If you take nothing else from this blog, let it be this: be gentle with yourself. Rest when you need to. Give yourself permission to prioritize your own well-being without guilt. That’s not selfish, it’s essential.

This month, I want to invite you into a simple practice: listen to more music without lyrics. Let it wash over you. Classical, jazz, instrumentals, even marching bands, something is healing about hearing music in its pure form, without words. Here are a few playlists I’ve been enjoying:

And here’s a journal prompt to carry with you over the next 30 days:

Where in your life are you being called to slow down, and what would happen if you actually listened?

If you’ve made it this far, congratulations, you’ve survived my written yap session. More importantly, thank you for being here with me. My hope is that you leave this post feeling seen, inspired, and curious about new ways to care for yourself.

If something here resonated with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Drop a comment, share this post with someone who needs it, or simply light a candle for yourself with intention.

Until next month, be well, be gentle, and be simply you.
